 Need some advice/help...computer problem!
So I was moving my computer around yesterday. And after I turned it on, 4 of my fans weren't working.
I unhooked those fans off of the power connection and plugged it into antoher connectin. Two of the fans now working off the other connector. The top and bottom fan aren't working no matter where I connect it to. The top fan seems to want work...ie...rotating slowly then stopping, and the bottom one won't work at all. The problem is, the bottom fan is the one cooling the power supply.
Is my power supply hosed? I have no idea what exactly the problem is and i'm sitting dead in the water until then.
Any help would be apprciated.

you can always open the case and put a fan next to it to keep it cool...that will keep you running in the mean time...
as for the parts not working...i have no idea...seems weird that they won't work...have you tried plugging the fans that aren't working into leads from the PS that powered the others???cause if you did you'd atleast know the fan is the problem and not the PS lead...i'd give that a try...

Yeah, make sure it's not just the fan that is giving you the problem. A fan is much easier & cost friendly to replace than a power supply.

Could a Power supply be partially working?
I'm wondering if some cables coming out of the PS are busted. damn me for not getting a modular PS.
It might be a fan issue but it's wierd that 2+ fans stopped working all at once.

does your power supply have an output switch? maybe you knocked it down when you were moving.

output switch? like a on and off switch? Yeah there is one. Just that when the comp is turned on, none of the fan power sources work and if i reroute the wiring, the front and back fans work but the top and bottom ones don't....they seem to try to work, rotating slowly, and then stop.

try cleaning them out...maybe they are just so build up with dust/hair they can't spin...doubt it's the case, but you never know

Does anyone know what the average temperature of the comp components should be?
I ran some quick tests last night.
Mobo was at 36C,
CPU at 47C
vid card 8800gtx 80C!
Is that normal?
Am i running into risks of melting my computer?

Those temps sound ok to me...I don't remember what mine used to exactly be, but I think those numbers are in the ball park. That vid card usually runs pretty high.
You could use a voltmeter on the couple dongles where you said the 2 fans dont' work (but worked when you used different plugs) and see if there is any power coming through those. If not, then you know its the PSU for sure. Else it points to the fans.
If you dont' want to do that, I'd buy new fans first since it's cheap, or just 1 fan at first to try. If they don't work, then its the PSU. Then return the fans or just install the new fans along with a new PSU since it's never bad to have new fans anyway.
Or just dump the whole thing and build a new PC together with me when I get around to it...hehe.

Well, I installed new fans and I thought part of the problem was the new foxilla and everest professional i downlaoded and i removed them.
Now, I'm having some random lockups in wow. Twice in arenas yesterday which ended up blue screened. Last night, I was able to sit in shat for hours without a problem. Today, I locked up twice in org.
I ran 3dmark on the highest settings at 2560x1900 graphics and cpu test and it came out ok. Does this mean it's not my video card or processor?
I'm not sure what to do next. Is there a way to test mobo and memory?

Do the new fans work now? I'd still keep an eye on that PSU since a faulty PSU could have cause the fan problems and also, the vid card not getting the power it needs will give you a blue screen or lockups.
I'm not saying it's the PSU causing all of the probs for sure, but it would explain things. So keep an eye on it.
